Mechanic

We are seeking a highly skilled, reliable, and efficient Mechanic to join our busy service team in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. The ideal candidate must have comprehensive knowledge of modern vehicle systems, strong diagnostic capabilities, and the ability to perform high-quality repairs quickly and accurately, catering to the diverse vehicle population of the city.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnosis & Repair: Inspect, diagnose, and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues across a wide range of vehicles, including high-end cars, commercial fleets, and high-volume commuter vehicles.
• Preventative Maintenance: Perform comprehensive regular maintenance and scheduled servicing, including oil changes, tire rotation, brake systems, transmission service, and engine tuning.
• Parts Management: Accurately identify, source, and replace faulty parts, ensuring proper fitting and functionality meet safety and manufacturer specifications.
• Record Keeping: Maintain detailed, systematic, and accurate records of all diagnosis, repairs performed, parts used, and service hours (often using digital systems).
• Workshop Standards: Strictly maintain the cleanliness, organization, and high safety standards of the workshop environment.
• Customer Service: Communicate repair details, technical explanations, and cost estimates clearly and professionally to customers or service managers.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: ITI (Industrial Training Institute) / Diploma in Automobile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical qualification is highly preferred.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong, current understanding of modern vehicle systems (both domestic and imported brands) and advanced diagnostic procedures (OBD-II scanners, specialized software).
• Tool Proficiency: High proficiency in using a full range of mechanical, specialized, and diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills with acute attention to detail and quality of workmanship.
• Work Ethic: Honest, responsible, self-motivated, and capable of working effectively under pressure and meeting tight deadlines common in a busy metro workshop.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience: 2–5 years of verifiable experience in multi-brand vehicle servicing, repair, or a specialty workshop (e.g., luxury segment, transmission, or specific brand dealership). (Freshers with strong practical skills and technical certification may be considered).
• Diagnostic Experience: Specific experience with advanced engine control and electrical diagnostic systems.
